How does Franklin Global keep my child safe in a fully online environment?
Safety and privacy are built into how the school operates, not bolted on as policies. Outside organizations cannot contact your learner directly, collect data on them, or track how they engage with materials. Every interaction with someone outside the school is arranged by the school and supervised.
Communication tools are age-appropriate, and conversations between learners and adults happen in spaces the school monitors. Permissions are role-based, which means each adult in the system, whether a tutor, an academic lead, or an administrator, can see only what they need to do their job. Your family’s information stays with the people who serve your family.
How do grades and college prep tracking work?
Grades come from specific performance moments, not from a steady stream of small assignments. Each course ends with a clear performance event that demonstrates what the learner can actually do. You can follow your child’s progress, course completions, credits, performance outcomes, and transcripts through the school portal.
Your learner leads their college and career decisions. We support them with milestone planning, application timelines, and honest feedback on where they stand at each stage.
How involved am I expected to be?
Your role is to create the conditions at home where your learner can thrive. That means helping them build productive routines, offering encouragement, supporting them when time allows, and holding them accountable for showing up to their work.
You are not expected to teach or manage their schoolwork. The school handles the teaching, the structure, and the day-to-day. As your learner advances, your role naturally shifts from modeling habits to being a sounding board for their thinking. We make that transition easier by keeping you informed about what your learner is working on and where they are growing.
